A few images featuring the designs of Frederick Starke(who designed Honor Blackmans clothes) and John Bates (aka Jean Varon) who was responisble for Diana Riggs attire .. The reasons it seems that Cathy Gale chose to wear leather more and more seems to be that it was perfect for fighting , whilst more conventional clothes would get ripped , The Emma Peel character would go through a transition between the black and white series and colour, from what I hear Diana Rigg wasn't a fan of wearing leather (a pity really as she looked perfect in it) so by the time colour series began she barely wore it all , I guess it worked well for the black and white filming and also added to the cultish appeal of the show but perhaps the producers and Diane felt there was no need for it by the colour season , you could say it was a left over from Cathy Gales era ..
Starke and Bates created some great moddish clothing in the early and mid sixties I'm surprised to find so little about them on the net seeing as they were contemporaries with the likes of Mary Quant and Ossie Clark .
